I'm happy about your questions on my tools and stuff, so here I'd like to show you my favourite tools which I can highly recommend:

Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencils
I got started with a set of 24 of these pencils. And I was totally enthusiasted from the very first pencil stroke I made: the soft colour laydown, the incredibly intense colours, the oil-based leads which don't smudge, easy to handle, easy to sharpen and perfect for tiny details - all of this made me fall in love, so I kept adding single colours and my palette grew to about 60 different colours in the meanwhile.

Micron Archival Ink Pens
These pens are simply awesome, you can draw lines in the blackest black, comparable to Indian ink. They are available in different line thicknesses and in my opinion much more handy than quills. They are excellent for ink drawings, but also fantastic to combine with the Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils - I mean, where the black Polychromos isn't black enough, the Micron pen will help out.

Copic Ciao Markers
I only have black and grey toned markers which I mainly use for shading before drawing the details of e.g. hair or cloth. They provide depth to my drawings by giving more contrast to the colours. AND they can easily be refilled with Copic ink, which means you buy them once and use them for a lifetime.
