Another really good traditional-looking piece! I'm more of a WWII buff myself, but those WWI aircraft definitely have their appeal.

Out of interest, is there a reason this has been painted in German colours? I'm assuming the drawing is based on the Southern Martlet? [link] Which was an English design built in the late 1920s by F.G Miles. Please don't take my comment as a criticism though as I am merely asking for curiosity. Was you using artistic licence or was it just that you did you not know it was not a German aircraft? I like the piece either way, a very nice representation of the type. Definitely worth a fave I think.

I was using artistic licence, and this was a "revamped" version of the famous Southern Martlet.
The design of the tail is so characteristic of course, and I guess it would have been less obvious if I had it painted all in red;
but I liked this design too much, so I kept it!
And to make good measure, I also added my sig. in a rune style...
So altogether it is fake, but I thought this bird would look rather good in red!
Well, I hope the English Boys won't get mad at me!
