Description "you know how there used to be some kid shows, at least from what i remember, where close friendships would be casual enough for hugs and kisses, as well as helping each other with tasks like i.e. swinging each other on a swing-set, brushing the others teeth, tucking them into bed, etc.? this is what this is inspired by. relationships between characters of kids shows that are casually intimate, so that children can relate to how it mirrors the type of guidance and affection their parents or older siblings would give them.
... fredbear and springbonnie during the infancy of what would Become fazbear's entertainment had this kind of close friendship that most pre-school and kindergarten aged kids were meant to relate to. springbonnie, along with being hyper and bubbly, was babyish. meanwhile, fredbear was a guiding and loving presence, and therefore calmer, more gentle, and less cutesy, to give off a sense of 'wisdom'.
when business expansion and the establishment of fazbear entertainment as a company extended the roster and changed the characters, it was decided to make it more widely appealing to all ages by changing that dynamic and making characters casually less intimate so that older and more mature kids, who would likely stop depending on their parents or siblings for so much help and affection and consequently begin to associate intimacy more with romance, could relate to their friendships too.
that change is also similar to how springbonnie originally had all masculinity sacrificed in lieu of cutesiness so that young children would find him approachable, until business expansion made it so that bonnie's gender was clarified through a redesign and more masculine voice for wider appeal and understandability to all ages, considering kids begin to understand their own gender more as they grow up, and chica was there to represent a more feminine presence. basically both were changed just so older kids would relate to it too[.]"
