I had a really tough time deciding which Miyazaki film I wanted to draw some fanart of... they're ALL so amazing!! I had watched Kiki's Delivery Service most recently, so I decided to draw Kiki and Jiji.
Of course, she looks older. I don't/can't draw children. lol, mature ladies is where it's at. Though she does still look slightly young, I'd say maybe she's 16-18 here. XDStudio Ghibli style is pretty hard to do- it's astonishingly simple, but complex at the same time. I tried to keep as much of a Studio Ghibli feel to it as I could, but as always my own style is also very overpowering. XD I think I may have hit a nice medium though..
I made this drawing desktop wallpaper sized (for laptops anyways, fits mine perfectly!) so please feel free to use it as one!!

Drawn with pencil/paper, lineart redone and colored using PaintTool SAI, finishing touches done with Photoshop CS2.. All using Wacom Tablet.

Totally using htis. Kiki's Delivery Service is my favorite Miyazaki movie, even after I saw some of his work for older audiences with intricate plots and themes... somehow, this little kiddy ditty movie about a teenaged witch and her cantankerous cat manages to hold that same special place in my heart.
