All of my artwork is extremely personal, but this is the only piece that has made me take a step back to get away from myself while making it. I swapped roles to see things through her eyes....

Yes. I might have gone a little crazy. Love and heartbreak cause people to fracture into something hideous for a while.

As for the image -

I love everything about this piece. One of my best, and probably my favorite.

First, the colors...Everything is a cool, calming blue...except the girl - violently red.

The setting - a place that should be serene and solitary, just intruded by his stalker...she won't let him have even a moment of peace. I love the different emotions from the split personalities. There's obsession...anger...romance...disgust...compassion...and all out psychotic lust stepping through the door...standing between him and his vision of the sunset...as if to say, "Nope...you WILL look at me the way you look at that sun."

Am I the only one who finds this the SLIGHTEST bit romantic? In an unhealthy addicted sexy AF way?
