It reminds me of Oklahoma, and not just because of the title

I loved the original and the remake (with Hugh Jackman) was wonderfull aswell.

Yes, Jackman was PERFECT in the role although I was a bit disappointed with the actress they chose for Laurey. I know that they're not going to pick identicle actresses but I was so used to a blonde Laurey. And I didn't like the fact that she spent most of the show in tom-boy style dungerees (I think that's what you call them)! But then that is just my opinion. I love 'Carousel' as well, with Gordon Macrae and Shirley Jones! Actually, I basically love musicals!

lol, I love his voice. I would have loved to go see The Boy from Oz, In all the interviews about it he seemed to have alot of respect for Peter Alan.

I wasnt a very big fan of musicals until recently and I agree the actress who played Laurey was a bit off.

I loved the guy who played Jud.

Do you know, I really wasn't too keen on The Boy from Oz. I sooo love Hugh as sexy Wolverine in the X-Men movies and I think if I had watched The Boy from Oz it would have shattered my fantasies - ha ha! But as Curly in Oklahoma he was still sexy. Don't get me wrong, I'm not homophobic at all, and it is lovely that they honoured Peter Alan in such a great way, but Hugh just looked so thin and totally not my idea of sexy! But who knows, if I had gone to see it I might have been proven wrong!

The guy who played Judd was great, I agree! And did you know that he acted with Hugh in Van Helsing! He played Frankinstein!!

I adore Peter Alan, I havent seen Hughs version yet though

He is an awsome Wolverine, he seems to add more depth to the character.

He always seems slimmer when hes not working on action movies, They really make him bulk up lol

I did know that!! It seems like Hugh, Ian Mckellen and Bryan Singer all have a little circle of actors that they call on/work with over and over again. Its really lovely.

Yes, you tend to notice that. I suppose they become friends, admire one anothers talents and like to keep working together.

Hee hee! I had so much fun writing 'Framed'! I haven't written any fanfiction in ages though and am hoping that watching X3 will get me back in the mood. I have two WIP fics - 'The Wolf Moon' and a crossover fic (X-Men and Labyrinth) 'Two Worlds, Four Hearts' that both need serious updates!

So glad you enjoyed my writing!

I want to live just over the hill at the end of the path on the side of one of those hills in a cottage with trees and a true English country garden. Can you arrange that please?

I'll see what I can do!

But seriously, North Wales is sooooo beautiful and it is my dream to one day live there in a cottage somewhere! Better hurry up and finish rewriting my novel and see if I can get it published!

irish-echos-images In reply to Forestina-Fotos [2006-04-28 10:02:19 +0000 UTC]

Novel? Do tell please! I am an avid reader. As for living in Wales I wish you all the blessings from above and below for your dream to come true. I have a dear friend who realized his dream and now has a lovely cottage in Scotland. He calls it his Jane Austen retreat. I hope to visit someday before my heath robs me of the ability to travel. There are some places here in western Washington that are much like the British Isles. Ireland, England, Wales, Scotland, the Isle of Mann, all hold an allure for me. I am of Celtic heritage. With a name like Erin Kathleen I suppose it shows.
I would love it if you would consider exchangeing email addresses and then perhaps we could become friends. I will understand if you feel it is too personal. I am not easy to offend.

Thank you for your sweet words!

Of course! I will happily exchange email addresses! Perhaps you might also be interested in reading my novel as I rewrite it? Although no pressure, of course. But I always value honest opinions, especially by avid readers such as yourself! I love your name. It would be the sort of pretty name my main character would have!

Your friend is so lucky! I hope that will be me one day!
