These just suddenly popped up in my garden (pun intended...y'know...popped...poppies...um...never mind!
), one day not there, the next - ooooh I have poppies! 
The darker coloured one emerged first and I guess the yellow-y one will eventually turn darker too.Colours enhanced and lighting tweaked a tad.

These are Welsh Poppies, they are always yellow or orange - gorgeous aren't they
The red ones you see in the fields are often known as Corn poppies, both are UK wild species.
Last autumn I built a 'wild' pond in the garden and have already put some native, (wild), plants in and around it. I think visitors will be surprise when they know all of the gorgeous flowers are wild - or weeds to many people !

I'd love to build a pond (to go with my new wooden bridge) but because we're renting we don't know how long we'll be here.
