i did that because just look how the water is. its just so calm. and then its the clouds that are really calm with the bright pretty sun.

I agree, there is something about this pic In the future, however, consider moving the border between the land and water down a bit so we can see a bit more of the sky and less of the repetitive water. Then again that would cut off the reflection of the sun on the lake, but I think seeing more of the beautiful sky as opposed to the relatively dull reflections of the water would be an improvement. Good picture
