*Inspired by someone asking me what i listen to and having an opinion about me saying "a little of everything". Like it says, music is music. I don't discriminate.

One day I listened to doom metal and then suddenly psybient (psychedelic ambient). The first is very sad, and the other very positive and relaxing.

I love those and I couldn't say I love everything. Especially not hip-hop and hardcore techno for example. Or black metal.

My ears still can't simply handle rap though.
And no this is no matter of discrimination, rap is just totally out of my taste >< ..not ''every'' single rap song is bad (IMO) but I generally just really dislike them @3@

This always gets to me whenever somebody says something like:
"Rap is just crap without the 'c'!"
"Metal is just a bunch of noise!"
"Country is so predictable!"
"Classical is boring!"
Yeah. Anyways, I enjoy a bit of every genre, since I love pretty much music in general.

This is perfect cause I love all kinds of music. If it sounds good to my ears I will listen to it. Except Screamo that's really not music, it's just someone screaming into a microphone while the band goes crazy on their instruments like 5 year olds. My opinion though.

I have preferences to genres, but music is straight up music. I can't say I dislike rap because I love rap-rock, can't say I hate country because I've heard some good old country songs, can't say I hate pop because I love some pop songs.
Music is to be enjoyed, not catagorized. (I understand the genres are to make it easier for people to know what the songs will sound like).

Thank You! I Hate hearing crap like: "92% of Teens listen to Rap/Pop music. Put this in your signatue if your apart of the 8% that listens to Real Music." It's Like I can't listen to whatever I WANT to listen anymore. Rock, Hip Hop, Metal, Pop, etc.

Eh, maybe. Usually people who say they listen to everything or "a little bit of everything" DON'T listen to a little bit of everything.
It just makes them seem like they're trying to be cool and eccentric in a conversation.
I prefer saying I listen to a lot of things.

Well...there are many songs that embody different genres, so it IS indeed possible to listen to "a little bit of everything" in a sense--oldies, rap, rock, pop, country, jazz, etc.
I'm just saying it isn't exactly a hard task to do. A little bit of everything.....I admit I rather like that term.

I love this since I ma the same way and respect a person who an OPEN THEIR MIND to new things. I personally like just about everything as long as it's not pop or soem reallly depressing stuff that make me want to kill myslef.
