This is kinda strange to say but this immediately made me think of a that politician who shot himself and it was live so the footage is on Youtube. He got accused of something and felt so much pressure he shot himself in front of a bunch of people at a conference.
It's a somewhat gory video and the scene looked a bit similar to this. I can't link it because I'm at work but his name was R Budd Dwyer.
