.I've had the concept-idea for this photo for a while, and after several unsuccessful attempts to light the interior of this shell in varios ways,....I finally came up with the right one:
(....there's a 'glow-in-the-dark-stick' inside)
a flashlight was used to high-lite the top of the shell,
the most challenging part was holding the camera steady 3 inches above the water under very dim light conditions !!....hand held 2 sec. expossure
Any suggestions are always welcome.

Very cool concept! I think the lighting on the top of the shell should be coming from the left side, where the sun is - it would look more natural. And it doesn't hurt to use a tripod. Take a little more time and perfect it. Hope you don't take offense, it's meant as constructive criticism! <3
