colored it in adobe photoshop, I worked with shadows, w00t. i dont think the bullet effect is right but who cares, i still like this. I will post without background in scraps if you dont like the effect.Character: Layla

EDIT: Turned background down to 65 % so the shadows werent so dark and gave it more shape, at least to me, you can see her better, tried to fix the flash cause it was alittle bit behind the gun when it shouldn't have been there.

Hmm...have you tried placing the muzzle flash as a semitransparent layer on top of the gun? 'cause right now it looks like it's coming from behind it, not the barrel itself.

The details all look really good I'm just not getting a sense of visual depth. I do however like the muzzle flash. I guess for shadows have some more medium tones, good light and dark use but a bit more shade in the middle will give more shape to it I imagine.
Just my thoughts.
