Millard is not a happy camper and often struggles with filtering what comes out of her mouth as well as trying to then apologise for those said words in a sensitive manner, she can often be seen as incredibly apathetic and flippant, something a little dangerous for someone in her position to have. She isn't to great hanging around sensitive people and likes to speak her mind without fear of repercussion. That being said she isn't incapable of caring and being pleasant to others- she just rather not do it, especially when she's stressed. During the time of the disaster, and taking leave to help with sick or hurt pokemon in other parts of emerald has taught her that people are going to get hurt and die no matter if you're nice to them or not, which then in turn forced her to become more apathetic to those who she treats.
Though it's hard to squish through her incredibly icky and ill mannered nature, she does have a soft spot for those that do honestly and earnestly try to befriend or challenge her way of thinking. All in all, Millard is really just afraid that even if she did make a friend or found anyone that could stand her sour attitude that they would just go belly up sooner or later. She's an incredibly hard worker and will often try her very best in any situation she's put in, those who work with her can find her to be incredibly resourceful and fast on her toes when she needs to get something done. As well as being resourceful, she works in a genuine and sincere fashion.
Living her life truthfully has made her a trustworthy person to many, even if she is a bit of a bitch. She can sway opinion to her side due to her always acting when she evidence on someone [1] or evidence towards whatever cause she's fighting for, and she's not just one to sit down and take life throwing things at her, [2] or what people throw at her, for that matter. She's rebellious and acts on her own if she feels as though she can take whatever it is life throws at her and if it's for the greater good. The only real leader she feels she can trust in the end is herself. She can pay attention to the finer details of scenes and really get down to investigate such things, it's hard to stop her from thinking about certain details and aspects. On top of being rebellious she's also incredibly spiteful and petty, trying to worm in whatever she can to make someone she detests annoyed.

The History of Millard
On the 28th of October, the Sancosta family was blessed when a clutch of eggs hatched and gave them a beautiful, shining little girl among four other siblings. She sparkled a bright purple, the father taking it as a blessing and the mother taking it as the sign that she'll grow into something beautiful and to be admired such as their grandfather was. They rejoiced, before having a quiet evening between them and their children, who they would always love dearly.
The family treated their children fairly, raising them with what they considered to be love. They were a lax family and didn't consider giving them anything over basic education, preferring to let the children experience life as they may and have fun doing so. The Sancostas were a family that valued the art of the party over the art of the pen or quill, they were infamous for their wild parties and even more famous for their incredibly lucrative and wealthy fortune. They taught their children that they were ugly, but it would be okay! Because one day they will evolve into beautiful creatures worthy of the adoration of others, and every child could not wait, except for Millard.
Millard was the one with the pressure to evolve heavy on her shoulders, she was a shiny pokemon, one with a unique colour scheme that should be admired for how adorably disastrous it looked, but how amazingly beautiful it would become. It was drilled into her young mind that she was not beautiful, but she can become beautiful, which started to ruin her.
For unlike her other siblings, who took their abhorrent appearances in stride and eagerly awaited the day that they too would evolve, Millard found herself feeling inferior to the other more 'beautiful' pokemon around her parents abode. She would rather herself be not seen, nor heard, and she spent most of her nights alone in her room, sitting in silence on her bed and staring at her hands. Millard, being a meek child, only had asked her parents for literature once. She enjoyed books, but soon found herself running out of things to read, her house only having a limited amount of literature. Her father did tell her he'd secure her more books, but later forgot due to their busy schedule, Millard never bought it up again. In all truth, Millard was never 'ugly', none of her siblings were 'ugly', it was only her perception of herself that labelled her as that. She was a young, developing girl and as the days ticked on the more she found herself detesting staring in mirrors. Her parents would chide and sing about how glamorous and stunning she would become, about how her scales would shine like her grand fathers, but it all fell on deaf ears.
She was ugly, and she felt as though an evolution couldn't stop her from being ugly. She'd cry about this to her parents who would chide and try to reassure her that although she looked terrible now, she'll be beautiful in the future, but nothing did ever help. Instead of being outside and enjoying her life like she should have been, most of Millards life was spent up in her room staring, contemplating, and reading, waiting for the moments to tick down until she could finally embrace herself and go out and be a person,
Until she was 16.
She had just about enough of it all, her families partying nature and how they lived finally wearing down on her. She was a book worm and often found herself nose deep in a good scientific text or novella, and she found herself questioning things; why do people hold beauty at such a high standard? Why does her family want her to evolve so bad? Why was she always in her room late at night pondering? It was this that finally kicked her out of her home so she could try and discuss with other people, it was hard but she found herself having conversations with other, as she called them, 'intellects', talking about things that can get her brain working harder and harder, and the harder and harder it worked the more she got mad, and the more she got mad the more rebellious and aware she became, and the more rebellious she became the more her parents started to notice.
The house became a minefield and Millard was the bomb. She'd fight with her parents almost daily, often insulting them, calling them idiots, and snapping at them whenever she had the chance. Her parents were confused, what had happened to their beautiful complacent little Ameythest? They didn't know how to fix this, and Millard didn't care to talk to them. The real damage started when they mentioned evolution, most the conversations ending in a screaming match and leaving her storming out of the house swearing to never to come back, but she always did, she did until one faithful night she let out the loudest yell of pent up frustration, anger confusion, disgust, and sickening dread that her own very family might have not ever loved her at all, and so she fled the night of 28th of October, on her 17th birthday.
The following years were rough for her, a large shell shock that racked her being as she had left the lap of luxury for the hard life ahead. She got a job at the library, somewhere she knew her parents would never find her if they looked, she could spend her days here studying things that mattered to her, tactics, medical journels, never thinking she'd ever have a chance to out her knowledge to the test on the field. She spoke to many people, often either complimenting their choice of books or detesting their choice, but she couldn't ever hide the fact that she was so glad to be around other people who wanted to learn. She was free to think about anything, but the thought that she might not be as ugly as her parents made her out to be never crossed her mind. Sometimes she felt she was uglier, even, sinking feelings of regret bubbling her way into her stomach, but she was more spiteful, and couldn't go back, no matter how much she missed them.
One of the things she pondered most on however, was the disaster. She was there to watch as meteors rained down from the heavens, destroying land as they knew it, and she found it puzzling, but also found it stressful. She never felt more of an urge to run back to her families palace and see if they were all okay, and the urge consumed her and she gave in, slipping near her old home and feeling her gut launch into her throat when she saw it in shambles, but felt it lower and tug when she saw her family, all safe, outside of the home embracing eachother, some evolved, some the same from when she left. And when she saw them safe, she left. They'd have no use for her anymore. She made a journal to record all she saw before heading out to help with the reconstruction and medical aid of those around emerald, putting her skills to the task as well as learning new skills as she went on. The oppurtunity was a big one for her, to help people and learn with her hands instead of her eyes, and thats what lead her to join the everstone guild, to learn, and to figure out the mysteries of the disaster.
Life inside the guild
Through her travels Millard had decided that the best course of action was to evolve. Although this design wasn't motivated by her own wants, she felt that she had to be her very best for the world. On an expedition to the springs, and through a lot of shenanigans she finally made it and evolved. However, it didn't go as planned, and much to the confusion of her and everyone else there she turned into a Clawitzer.
