First off, love to see a different view to the kitsune: both beautiful but deadly and dangerous. : )
The only crit I have on this is the color of her kimono. I think the general bright shade of orange tends to make the blood less visable. If it was darkend down a little bit, the blood would be more seen and make the image pop more. Also, the upper portion of it (where the light hits it the most) seems almost metallic. ( Just my own view)
All together though, a lovely piece. : )

hahaha i like this kitsune. it not the stupid furry looking kind that should be on a cartoon. real kitsune are mean and sometimes the bad guy or part of a violent love triangle. itll be a sad day when kitsunes go the way of the vampire. vampires were good untill they werent the bad guy anymore....

This picture is very beautiful, I love how she is so graceful and elegant...and deadly...
I really like the way you two toned the blood...It gives it more depth...
Im not too sure about how the hair on the severed heads looks, the way its so light at the bottom and so dark towards her hand...maybe there should be more of a shine in the middle as apposed to the bottom...maybe more like how you toned her fur...It just looks kinda flat...
Unless that the way you meant it...in that case ill just shut my flapping yapper now...

I don't know much about color, but I can tell you how I feel! ^_^ The colors used fit the picture really nice, so good job on that. I love the way the light plays on the kitsune's fur. The way it plays on the kimono makes it look like the fabric is shiny, is that supposed to be right? I also think if the hair on the beheaded guy had more glint to it, it would look better. But I'm not an artist, so...
Anyways, I really like the piece, it's really great!

I love how you gave this kitsune an entirely differant image of what you normally see kitsunes as: beautiful and graceful creatures. While this one certainly is beautiful, it's also not afraid to rip your head off if you get on her nerves! XD A wonderful job on this. ^^

Well, it totally depends on the kitsune. The mythology surrounding them is pretty big and complex. Generally the ones who serve Inari are good while the ones who don't cause trouble.
BUT you are correct in the fact that most don't kill outright, they like to use the subtle approach.

For the ones who serve inari "good" is a loose term. they will still do pranks on those who are too boastful or behave badly just to put them in their place.

I thought my mythology was wrong for so long, thank you for the help. It is very appreciated. I am terrible at this stuff, I just love Japanese and Chinese mythology, all of my monsters are based on that. I'm just relieved I didn't mess up my Kitsune character. Thank you for the reassurance.

Reminds me of the stories of the Kumiho (korean version of the kitsune, which were always female, always demons, and always ninetailed), as the stories about them or usually pretty violent, compard to those of the kitsune and the hulijing/huxxian (chinese kitsune)....well, at least from the mere one or two stories that I read of them >.<

I love it!!! The decapitated head and pipe really bring out its suave but deadlyness. Kitsune are supposed to be amoral, so if you piss them off, they will kill you. And then later have a smoke with a friend. Again love it !!!
