I think you have a knack at drawing eyes! That image is adorably small, also like a lot those leafless tree branches.

Haha, well, I DO really love drawing them. ^^
I think they're a lot easier to draw without leaves than with them.

That's good! Hmm, maybe, it's hard to figure out the twigs when there's too much foliage, agreed.

Thank you! I'm actually pretty comfortable with tiny paper sizes because of the many tiny doodles I made over the years that got far more detailed than I intended (I swear it's way too hard for me to leave out details).

I always adored these little birds when they would come to our yard in a huge flock yearly to feast on the bushes in our back yard. I found them fascinating and loved to watch the frenzy of them as they came and went. My mother always dreaded their arrival, seeing only the "mess" they left rather than appreciate the marvel of their collective.Β

Aww, I'm sorry to hear your mom didn't like them. Glad you did, though! I hope to see them myself one day, they are a rare sight over here.

Ooooh nice work on a tiny paper! Recognized the species without the description since the details are on point

Thank you! I hadn't heard of the species before my to-be-grandpa-in-law mentioned them, but they sure are beautiful birds! Apparently they only appear in the Netherlands on particularly cold winters, however. I hope to see one in real, once!

Oh! They're pretty common in Finland especially during the migration ass they nest high up in the northern forests and during autumn, progress slowly towards south as they eat all the rowan berries as they go. On good berry years like last year they hardly reach southern Finland, whereas on poor years they migrate in large flocks already in September. Since rowans have similar crops on large scale, I guess the waxwings continue their migration the same way through Europe and reach the Netherlands on those years? :V
I hope you get to see them some year, they make cute sounds and hang on branches trying to reach the furthest berries (and sometimes get drunk on berries and go wild x'D)

I see! Better get some rowan berries in my future garden! c:
I've seen a drunk squirrel on a video once, I wonder what waxwings would do.

Wonderful idea and really great implementation. Only thing I want to say, the Cup of Tea should have a bit contrast. Aside from that, great work Β

Thank you very much for your compliments, and your advice, too!

I can probably manage to make such a small change before I scan it back at home, so you may even see your advice put to use. ^^

Aww this is lovely.....I like the way he is drinking his tea! Lovely use of colour and shading in your work and if you get chance this work deserves to be scanned in to get the most from it

Thank you!
Though mind that the original is only A6, so I'm not sure if it'll get that much greater.
