Description A couple characters from the other novel I'm working on (I'm almost at 50,000 words now, have to hurry up and finish).

Nelius (bottom) is the story's villain, but a rather sympathetic one. His aims aren't all bad, but things go very, very wrong. Above him is the The Wind, who is personified in this universe (which is based around some of my favorite fairy tale elements). These two have an interesting relationship!

This is so beautiful The hair going in different direction really give the sense of movement in the pic, enhanced by the fact that the Wind is one of the character depicted Plus, the faces tell a lot, and the colours create such a nice harmony together

I am reminded of Prospero and Ariel from The Tempest. Is it a relationship of that sort? At any rate, it's lovely - especially Nelius. He looks so sad and rather guilty.

There are some slight similarities to The Tempest, now that you mention it! Nelius does seek to capture and control the Wind after a fashion; however, the Wind is a great deal more powerful than The Tempest's Ariel, more of a god than a spirit.

And thank you so much--I'm very glad you like the picture. The character of Nelius does have some tragic aspects.

That sounds doomed to fail, in one way or another. The Wind sounds like someone who would do great damage to Nelius whether he succeeds in capturing him or not. Of course, that's only speculation...

It sounds like a very interesting story. Good luck finishing it. Will we be able to read it at some point?

While Nelius' plan is not intrinsically bad (I won't go into a long explanation of the plot here, though ), some unexpected things happen, with disastrous results. But yes, the Wind is definitely a very dangerous entity.

Sounds like a wonderfully twisty plot, then.
