Dr. Lychee is one of Kittyland's preeminent biologists, and here is her visual guide for identifying various types of marine kitty.
(Not included is the kittensquid, or squitten, because I've already drawn her a lot--and will do so again!)Obviously not drawn to scale.

My thought was that they eat the same as their real marine counterparts. So the basking kitty would eat zooplankton, and the narwhal kitty would eat fish. There are regular fish in the Kittyland Sea as well.

A friend of mine is taking an Oceans course, and I have told her to do her project on the kittypus.
"Contrary to popular belief, the kittypus is not a half breed of the catfish and octopus. The kittypus is a rare breed of marine life, and cannt easily be classified. It is native to the South Pacific, and is rumored to be extinct, however, scientists are hoping to preserve the majesic creature..."

Yes, it looks pretty scary! Fortunately, it's harmless and just eats plankton and other small things. Still, I wouldn't hang around if one of them was nearby.

Loving the cuteness of every little kitty sea creature on here, you've combined two of my great loves. =3 The basking kitty made me giggle so much and the sunfish kitty really is very beautiful. I just can't get over the little disappearing head on the kitty coral it's so cute~ They're all amazing, can't pick a favourite!

Hm, you know, I hadn't thought about that! I know there are non-kitty animals in Kittyland (as well as regular fish), but there might be kittified versions of them, too.

Octokitty is the most clever of all the marine kitties (I mean, he has glasses, so he must be), so he has his ways! Probably he snuck them off a boat when no one was looking.
