I'd love to give it a tweak but where the heck can I find the LazyTravis plugin?

LazyTravis can be found here: [link] . I'm glad you pointed out that it's a bit hard to find. I'll add a link to this plugin in my comment section too. I hope you'll try tweaking!

I'm sure you're not the only one who dislikes wasps. I'm around a lot of bees every day, and they certainly have my respect! I'm very happy that you like these fractal "wasps"! Thank you, my friend!

oh I do not mind honey bees at all, in fact my father used to keep bees... but wasps, hornets and yellow jackets make me swell badly and get woozy and light headed, and sometimes cause me to itch all over... its not really dangerous unless I were to get stung by a whole swarm of them, but its still very unpleasant

very welcome

fractal1 In reply to fraterchaos [2012-08-07 23:30:30 +0000 UTC]

I've never been stung by any of these...yet. My arms and hands are amidst many, many bees while I'm gardening. The bees seem to like Globe Thistles in particular, and I have to reach through the thistles to get to other plants. So far, the bees and I are doing our best to ignore each other. I think they're beautiful little animals. (Ask me again after I've been stung by one... )

yes, honey bees are fine... they usually won't sting you unless you threaten them, although sometimes they feel threatened when you don't think you did anything...

You use 2.09, right?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

fractal1 In reply to CMWVisualArts [2012-08-08 15:54:40 +0000 UTC]

Not very often. Why do you ask, Cameron? My 2.09 is very fussy. It will often shut itself down without my even touching it! It's not a huge problem, since it usually happens before I've started working on a fractal. I just prefer to use other versions of Apo that don't do the "ghost act". "Wasps" was made in 7x.15. I thank you again for your parameters! They're excellent - so interesting and beautiful!

CMWVisualArts In reply to fractal1 [2012-08-09 06:46:52 +0000 UTC]

And no problem with the parameters, you're always welcome

fractal1 In reply to CMWVisualArts [2012-08-09 20:12:26 +0000 UTC]

Well, don't worry about 2.09. Just let it nap until you find a reason to wake it up.

CMWVisualArts In reply to fractal1 [2012-08-11 14:46:58 +0000 UTC]

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

fractal1 In reply to CMWVisualArts [2012-08-12 15:54:35 +0000 UTC]

One thing 2.09 is good for is using the many 2D scripts that won't run on 7x. I've also heard several people say that 2.09 is much faster than 7x. Now that I have more plugins installed in my 7x, I see what they mean. My 7x has really slowed down!

fractal1 In reply to CMWVisualArts [2012-08-16 17:10:28 +0000 UTC]

Wow! I hadn't heard of that one yet. It's logical, though, that if there's a version 2, there's a version 1. Do you think version 1.2 may still be around? I love trying out old versions. Some of them have really neat variations or other things that they can do.

It could be that too! It's abstract art, after all. I thought the woven part resembled a wasp nest.
