OH, the ribbons, ribbons...they are so beautiful! I saw another fractal here on DA the other day with ribbons and I was mesmerized. I have no idea how to make them, thank you so much for posting the params. Something new and wonderful to learn.

Thank you. "Rose Range Lite" is great for making ribbons.

I have a big favor to ask, some params that don't work for me from someone else. Would it be ok if I note you?

I have displayed "Blushing Valentine" in my latest journal entry, which can be found here [link] If you want it removed, please let me know. Thanks for all the help and fun.

You're most welcome. I hope you find them helpful. RRL can be really fun to work with; it's one of my favorites.

Thanks, Lauren. I didn't want to do the traditional "red" so I kept the colors soft and the textures subtle. As part of the challenge, we were asked to include the parameters but it's something I like to do anyway.

Thank you very much. I had the Rose Range Lite base but couldn't figure out what I wanted to do with it. When I saw the challenge, it seemed like a good one to share as RRL is one of my favorite coloring algorithms.

I find RRL very pretty, but I don't have enough experience with working with it. I will have to look at your parameters and play around with them. Thanks for sharing!

RRL is really fun. I learned quite a bit from Janet Parke's class and I think there is a help file for it somewhere. Changing the "color density" and "transfer function" produce big changes and adding transparency to the gradient is cool too.

The hearts are standard 'orbit traps' but the RRL can be a lot of fun to play with. I created the shadowing here by increasing the Range width and some reverse masking.
