after looking at this some more i'm reminded that during the Middle Ages people believed the human head to be little more than a radiator which cooled the blood. this body, outfitted with twin pressure hoses and couplings, looks more like a radiator, or maybe an organic dialysis machine.

Ah yes. I love this kind of stuff. Reminds me a lot of that artist that worked on the Alien design for Aliens, Giger. Also reminds me of the Matrix. Great work. How did you do it? Picture or drawing? Either way what I see in this picture is the way we always think the same like a slave to society. A very influential and great drawing...or photo.
