I was just lurking onto the DA populars of today, and bam, this image just made me click. Damn good, the use of texture as part of the style. Also te messy, but correct inked lines. Love it.

but the background is to heavy for this character ... just do it more bright or something ... in this case the character is one with the bg ... and this is not good

Looks pretty damn awesome. The Thing always seems strange to me I can suspend my disbelief enough to believe him possible but what happens if he tries to move his arms, wouldn't the rocks hit each other and crumble? XP

That is such a nice color/texture build up. In the thumbnail size it reads like the exfoliated granites and weatherd rocks "due desert" from us here in Southern California.
