Description Traditional piece I did somewhat recently.

I did a new technique with this were I take a piece of characoal in both hands and draw simultamisley... It was extremly awkward to do but fun nonetheless.

That's such an interesting idea. More and more I feel like I want to have your artistic brain. I think it would be more fulfilling than the one I have.

Really? I mean, I really don't feel like my artistic brain is wired quite right. I don't sketch out my intended work on a canvas like an artist should, I make images out of silly squiggly lines. <_<;;

But who's to say what's the right way and what's the wrong way? It's creativity. Whatever works for each person is the best way.

I'm going to comment here about this one, "Dunce Cap," "Unlucky Feet," and "In the Garden" all together, since it seems stupid to say the same thing on four different pages.

These are ambiguity at its finest. In particular I like the way the faces of these characters range from hazy to completely invisible. You say that "Unlucky Feet" and "Dunce Cap" are sister pages. My uninitiated mind cannot see the connection, and the guessing game is tortuously intriguing. I think you should consider combining little characters such as these in diptychs. It forces the viewer to recognize that they are related, and to struggle to reconcile the two in his mind. (Even if you yourself did not plan a connection between two given pictures, try throwing them together just for fun. Something unexpectedly brilliant may be born!) Your ability to provoke that struggle to make it all make sense is, I think, your very greatest strength, and I urge you to play it to its full potential.

Hey, be my guest! I always like getting things done all at once personally, so I don't see why you shouldn't do the same.

Anyway, as always you provide a good idea to be initiated. I had never thought of keeping the characters in these pieces unseparated before... More so for the fact because it's easier to scan them separately, but despite that I still think it's a brilliant idea! I'm always open for the chance to push my viewers buttons and make them struggle to conceive my work. So this is a perfect opportunity to do so!

And thank you, not only for the idea, but for the encouragement to progress my work.

It certainly makes for a different effect I say! I'll have to try it out with a different medium sometime, just to see how differently it would compare to charcoal....
