I know I already did something similar to this once. I rethought it and put this new roster together. And now I challenge you to do the same. Make a college of 56 character showing who you would add to MvC3 to make it's roster size equal that of MvC2. Add 9 fighters to each side to show who you wish would be in the game, along with reasons why. You must have a mix of returning MvC1/MvC2 characters and newcomers for each side. Link your result in the comments! Who knows, some of your picks may make DLC! Feel free to respond to and discuss the lists of others as well.

My reasons:

1. Mega Man (Classic): He is one of Capcom's most iconic characters. The fact that he was left out of MvC3 still stuns me.
2. Strider Hiryu: Everyone needs a ninja, Capcom is no exception.
3. M. Bison: You make a game featuring Marvel and Capcom villains teaming up and you leave out M. Bison? Why?
4. Cammy White: The second leading lady of the Street Fighter series has great looks, and a moveset to match.
5. Jon Talbain: The kung-fu werewolf of Darkstalkers has a balanced moveset, and large American fanbase.
6. Lord Raptor: Judging by Dormammu's MvC3 ending, Zabel Zarrock would be a great choice for a Darkstalker's villain. He is a Zombie who can make is body into weapons. And that's awesome.
7. Phoenix Wright: Maybe OBJECTIONable to some, I'd be curious to see how he was implemented in gameplay.
8. Frank West: He ALMOST made it into MvC3, and his TvC moveset, (with a few small tweaks) would fit right in.
9. Gene: God Hand's protagonist has a variety of moves, and a potentially kickass theme song.
10. Dr. Strange: 2 of his enemies have shown up. Why not the good doctor himself?
11. Juggernaut: His size would add another large character to the roster. And another meme for Deapool to quote.
12. Ms. Marvel (Carol Danvers): One of the major heroines of the Marvel universe, Carol Danvers would work well in a VS game.
13. Ghost Rider (Johnny Blaze): His chain would make for a good weapon in normal combat, and his motorcyle would make for some spectacular hyper combos.
14. Psylocke: The younger Braddock sibling worked well in MvC2, and would be a welcome addition to MvC3.
15. Elektra: Everyone needs a ninja, and Marvel is no exception.
16. Venom (Eddie Brock): One of the most iconic Spider-Man villains, they would be welcomed back by many fans.
17. Gambit: This southern "gentleman" would bring the pain with his CREDIT CARD! (kinetic card)
19. Squirrel Girl: Unexpected and POWERFUL, she can best almost any villain she comes across.
