In his first appearence, he was a credible threat as a kaiju who was able to fight Godzilla to a standstill for much of the film.

On the contrary. He got his spiked tail handed to him, but they've been bros ever since.

I kinda like seeing Anguirus with a club tail. But then again, this isn't a skeletal rendition of the Final Wars version.

So, its shell is separated from its main skeletal frame

I've always thought Anguirus was some kind of synapsid rather than a dinosaur, considering his dentition and plantigrage feet, much like the rhedosaurus.

He's explicitly described as an Angillasaurus in "Godzilla Raids Again" so I went with the dino angle.

But he doesn't appear to have an antiorbital or mandibular fenestra.

Looking pretty cool, though i always consider Anguirus more of a land croc than ankylosaur or some weird-ass prehistoric reptile. Β Not dogging you, just my own thoughts on the character.

It's just weird that Anguirus crawls lol

I'm guessing that the shell must also be flexible enough since Anguirus can roll up into a ball like an armadillo.

I prefer to see Anguirus in a normal quadrupedal stance and not as some actor crawling on their knees

That was the normal quadrupedal stance of Anguirus.
I work with what I'm given.
