This medieval outfit from about 1250-1280 could be used in the march of Montferrat or the County of Savoy, or some of the comunes of Piedmont, North-West of Italy.

It was pretty common in german and slavic countries. The muslims and east romans used it too. North Italy had strong connections with France and Germany (many towns were still loyal to the german emperor too)
