These include; shelf reading, assisting patrons, cataloging materials, organizing said materials, keeping up to date on resources, and understanding and using several information sources that are constantly changing and being updated. Mudiwa can do all these basics, and does them to a degree that many other librarian's praise her for.

Memorizing the systems used in the library, whether if be Dewey Decimal or Library of Congress style to be able to find and shelf books without too much thought.
