Description A beam of moonlight shines on the ground
Rising from the snow came a sound
An expected echo crosses the land
Poking through the woods like fingers on a hand
Suddenly a pair of lights
'Tis a dog's eyes, burning bright
They disappear and replaced by a howl
Crossing the land startling fowl
A flash of grey, a burst of speed
The animal appears to lead
Another howl as a cry
The wolf disappears into the sky
There is a lesson to be learned
The wild needs to be preserved
