Nice, looking good so far. I would say that you should raise the contrast a little, and also the midtones, to make it darker and the colors more present. But I realised that your background being bright as it is, it works well with theses color choices, so, great work = D

No your right. I think having more contrast would make the overall image pop.
I was just practicing on smooth lines and simple way to throw in base colours.
Then I kinda tried out the water colour brush in Manga Studio for funs.
