Description This image here is my contribution to an ID contest taking place at the ~ KrimsonGuard club right now. Now, I can't help but feel sorry for what has happened over there - in its past two contests there was absolutely no attention whatsoever, so I would have thought now's the chance to give it a bit of a boost. Add to the fact that DA's ID policies almost bit us all in the necks, and you can tell it's time for a change.

Anyhow, what I ended up doing was one of those columnar designs, emphasising upon the more recognisable faces within the guard - Ashelin, Baron Praxis, Erol and Torn, in that order. I've also aimed for that more realistic look upon their facial expressions and worked hard to pull them off... and as an end result, that had to be the best variation on Ashelin I've ever done!!!
Must admit, the graffiti managed to come out firm, giving it that more Haven-esque edge around it. Took a while to get used to the motion tool again...!

Ahem. If you want to wish me luck, now's the time.

*sighs* DA would probably close down all the clubs if they could, they just seem to have alot of issues with them (though I can see why).

Anyways, about the pic, not DA issues.

I really like the use of the 'dirtier' colours and tones on this. It works really well with the theme of KG - and the pic has a nice balance with Torn and Ashelin both in the same front-facing pose. I'd try to offer suggestions, but I'm not very good at offering advice to people...it usually comes out wrong, and then I feel bad laters. >.>

In any case, lovely work hon!

VERY nice. The brownish rust tint on the characters gives it a really good touch and Ashelin's expression is dead on.

I'm deeply impressed on the coloring you did. The add of sepia is simply dramatic and very diverse. The KG people look all ready to rumble (okay, that was corny). I personally like Ashelin's face, as it's pure Ashelin. Erol makes me giggle in that he looks like he's sleeping.

I do believe you are right Rexy. That is one of the best interpretations of Aeshlin you've done. And knowing how much of a Baron Praxis fan you are; I'm sure making the Krimzon Guard ID was pure entertainment for you. Either Erol looks like he's snoring or singing .XD I can't really tell. I like your use of split screens to divide the faces. They all look so cool. ^>^ You even made those face markings nearly acurate. I like this pic you did Rexy. VERY well done.

Personally... I think it was more like the "singing" look Erol's trying to accomplish. You know them split screen effects in the combo attacks shown in Disgaea? I was using Flonne's panel as inspiration for his expression, but... guess it didn't quite turn out right? o.O;

EE! Wow, Rex. This totally rocks.
Ashelin is my favorite here, must agree, you pulled her off wonderfully! Definately one of your best.
I love how you drew Erol. XD He looks like he's boasting. Or mocking Jak, one.
I always adore how you draw praxis, too. He looks somewhat calm and sinister there; my favorite combo. Torn looks very wonderful too! I can't get his tatts right. Kudos! I love the entire layout. This is verreh excellent...I favie. Awesome job, Rexy!

Wow Rexy this is brilliant you are definitly getting better at drawing Erol, Torn & Ashlin . I just love the way you put ever bit of detail into their faces, especially the Baron

Ashlein: OMG!! You've drawn her so well and in character! Her tatoos are completely correct and the coloring is awsome! Great job.

Baron Praxis: Ah, your fav charrie... *is shot* As all the times you draw him, you've drawn him amazzingly well. I for one, can't draw him to save my life.

Erol: Now onto _my_ fav KG charrie. *mauled* OMGOMGOMG You draw him SO well. He's all sleepy like. *gives him a pillow*

Torn: Ah, another fav of many peeps. his expression is so him! he looks very pished here.

Thankyou for the running commentary Meh... the reason why I drew Erol like that was to show a more peaceful approach onto his tattooed eyelids (I think he's the only one that faced that occasion o_O). And you know that adds to a character like him huh?

Meh... I was trying for that more peaceful Flonne (from Disgaea) approach o_O Besides, almost everyone likes Erol for the fact that he has his tattoos going on his eyelids as well as his face O.O
