This is me snorkeling in Kauai. ^_^ soooooo much fun!(Taken by dad.)
I'm thinking about drawings this pic' of me and making a mermaid out of it. hehe

I say you look like a water sprite in this photo, as mermaids don't need a mask or snorkel.

I used to be a finswimmer for years. Now I use my monofin just for fun and I love it.
Just like you FreshwaterMermaid, I know very well how "does a mermaid" feels!

Hey, is that a monofin? How do they work, well? I wanted to get one...do you think they're only good for wide open waters or could they be used in a pool?

You can use it in a pool quite easily. I perfer much deeper waters though. They're awesome! I never thought there actually was such a thing, til I googled it one day. And bought it a day later. lol

VERY, of course I'm used to it... at first my ankles would cramped up. But now it's an absolute joy to play with. ^_^

Hmmm...how much does a good one cost and where can I get it? I dont swim much anymore, but I would really like to try it(usually when I use fins I end up crossing my ankles and swimming like that anyway lol)

I can't remember where I got mine, some website... but all you have to do is google "monofin" and there ya go. I've got the "tempo" which bascially means sz 4-9 barely a 9. lol the Rapid has bigger sizes. good luck. ^_^
