Well that escalated quickly. Only read one book from Redwall.

Redwall, I remember that show on PBS Kids here in America. I wished I saw the rest of it.

I think Channel 4 or Channel 5 showed it here, but I only saw a handful of episodes, from the Martin The Warrior series.

It was a great cartoon. Kind of like an anthro, children's Game of Thrones I believe. So sad that it ended in the third season. I just some of the final episode and it was pretty sad and heart aching.

Yes it was. But I like the fact it doesn't shy away from such things.

SHORT BARD POEM (written by me):
There once was a fox thief named Slagar the Cruel.
The best thing he did was pickpocketing jewels,
From pockets and purses and satchels alike.
His heart was as dark as it was on a pike.
Β
He abducted children and not just their stuff.
The villagers felt they had just quite enough
Of this madman they claimed as they started to weep,
But not for long when Slagar was fast asleep.
Β Β
A sharp dagger pierced through his heart by surprise.
The cold-hearted magician met his demise
At the hands of a hero who dwelled from Redwall!
Now Slagar the Cruel is gone once and for all!

That is probably a more epic death than what he actually had!

Well, epic deaths fit well in bard songs or ballads anyway!

Pretty much. Cluny the Scourge had a memorable death scene.

Hold on! Just need to make some "renovations" to that song poem as it makes nonsense to use "is" and "was" for Slagar's current status! Then read it again. It will be a remastered version this time!

Awesome.
I apsolutly Love Redwall. Its a cartoon but has a mature and dark vibe to it unlike most non anime shows.
Slagar looks pretty awesome.

For a show that showed no blood and gore, it really did get brutal at times!

Oh my gosh, Mark, this is brilliant! Β I always loved Slagar (a.k.a. Chickenthief) even though he was a sadistic baddie. Β I think that hot tar incident in Redwall turned him from a mischievous fox to a tyrant bent on revenge. Β
Love the way he's wrapping his cape around himself. Just perfect in every way.Β

It was getting bitten by Asmodeus that made Slagar the nasty cruel bastard he became XD

Oh yeah! Haven't read or watched 'Redwall' or 'Mattimeo' in ages, but now I remember. If the Redwallers hadn't chased him and his mother away, the snake wouldn't have got him.

Tim Curry was the perfect choice to voice a villain from one of my favorite cartoons based on my favorite book series. Excellent rendition Frey.

He was perfect for this guy. The voices for Badrang and Cluny were very good too, they were both voiced by Diego Matamoros.
