Description  During WW2, the Japanese Imperial Army has captured nearly perfect condition. The captured P-40s mainly being P-40E and P-40Ns. Most were tested and inspected like the fashion showed above.
But some did see some combat as Army Airforce planes. Four P-40Es being a part of the 50th Air Squadron. Commanded by Lieutenant Min Takano (高野明), Not much success was seen with the four and apperently they accidently shot down a friendly Ki-21 Sally Bomber.
The Squadron was disbanded only 3 months in combat. Also captured P-40s were used in a propaganda film "katou Hayabusa Squadron" as enemy fighters alongside captured F2A Buffalo.

As the robot trainers where fighting the pacific war near the impossible situation, They realised that they needed more fighters in the Chinese front. During the last parts of WW2, the Japanese were fighting in five fronts, five.
The pacific, Chinese, Berma, NewGinia and the Phillipines. Five battlefields and only the Chinese Front was showing signs of victory. But the Chinese front had a problem....air surpirioirty.
The Chinese Army was weak and It was easy to push. Once Opperation To-go was finished on December 10th, a new tank Brigade was sent to Hong Kong to help the concer of Fujian and Zhejiang, to control the chinese coast so the Japanese Transport fleet can hug the continant and travel to japan with a little more safety.
The 7th Tank Brigade was trained in new tacticts. Consisting of 5 Regiments. It was the first fully mechinized Japanese Armored Unit. And they showed a lot of promiss. With the supply line being protected by the 3rd tank Divisions Infantry and the 4th Calvary Brigade.
But they were too fast in their conquest, taking the two provence before the End of January. This Conquest was alarming for the allies and their planes were hunting down the armored brigade, they hid themselves well but it was odvious that they needed air support.
Even with the help of the1st Imperial Airgroups of Manchuquo. It was odvious that wasnt enough, as the 6th Tank Brigade and the 12th Tank division was being refitted with new armor, trained personal and weapons.
This only gave more targets for Allied pilots, So they needed more planes, planes which the Japanese could not supply. Thus a new Squadron made of Captured planes were made.
This one was a P-40 N captured when taking the Airfrield in Nan-hsiung. the ninth plane in the 28th Independent Air Squadron. Not the best plane in 1945 but still it was better then nothing and best of all, It was a good fighter bomber. Carrying 2, 250kg bombs and straffying enemy infantry while protecting the Army soliders from Air attacks.

Cool! First time I heard about captured units by the Japanese, despite the fact I recently built an interesting ship in a similar fashion. ^v^

By the way, the ship that received the number I asked you some time ago is just about to be finished... Just had not much time to finish it. ^v^"
