I really like Pincurchin, he's such a cutie! I love his eyes when they get slanty. I am disappointed in it though. I LOOOOVE sea urchins, I've wanted a sea urchin pokemon for years and years, and this is what we get...Like yeah, he's awesome and adorable and the electric type is a unique great idea. It's lacking in development in my opinion. I'd love to see more from it, I wanted an evolution. I'm also really disappointed that they didn't talk about uni at all, I assume his little butt cheek face is the uni poking out, that's the concept at least, but there's no mention about it at all, bummer. It's a good design though, not really complaining.Related content

Pincurchin does seem underdeveloped. Most of the Gen VIII pokemon seem to have a unique niche or interesting lore to make them fit the setting but Pinurchin is one of those few that just seems there. Its a shame because Pinchurin is defeinly one of Galar's better designs.
A few days ago, I was actually discussing in a journal how Pinchurin should have been the Pokemon that Cramorant swallowed at low HP instead of Pikachu. A sea urchin is more believable prey for a sea bird than a rodent. A "rivalry" with Cramorant would be an interesting bit of lore to help flesh out Pincurchin. It could even be an explanation for why a sea urchin is an electric type (it could be an adaptation to defend itself against Cramorant).
