Living up to her moniker as the Javelin Knight, Marlene has a dignified air about her that compels awe and respect. Her loyalty to Emmeryn, Chrom and the Shepherds is matched by her strong sense of responsibility. However in truth, once removed of her dignified persona, Marlene’s true personality is that of a kind and gentle maiden. While Marlene is aware that others may see her as overly serious, she assures that she is simply focused on upholding responsibilities first before having fun.

She is able to carefully look past her feelings and see the real situation at hand. She is extremely perceptive, able to quickly recognize the patterns and mistakes that her opponents make, which gives her an edge.

Marlene has a passionate love for her friends that propels her to live for herself and push past any obstacles that stand in their way. Her care for her friends and family are the backbone of her fighting drive. Through her cheerfulness and eagerness to help, protect, and fight, Marlene lives her life full of love and sacrifice. She would do just about anything to protect them and thus making her a reliable teammate despite her cunning front.

Marlene can also be seen as playful, this is displayed in the way she enjoys teasing others, most notably enjoying picking on the more serious people like Frederick. She also enjoys teasing Chrom in his awkward nature when it comes to romance and how Frederick was able to capture Chrom’s physique perfectly well in his naked drawing of their lord to raise morale amongst the troops.

I got the first design for Marlene all done! She has four total in both design and weapons to fit for each of her classes: Lancer, Knight, General and Bride. (When I saw that Bride class, I just couldn't help myself (>w<)

I wanted at least the official look for Marlene to be done before I move on to her other designs and official artworks. I have a lot planned for her, and I feel like I got a little too ahead of myself by starting a lot of drafts for her 🙃 but hey, I like to make things much more difficult for myself it's how I push myself to do more
