"She was always a light sleeper....roused from her sleep by the sound of glass breaking, she immediately thought of the laboratory, & that specimen they found on the distant planet. A soldier through & through, she simply grabbed her rifle & headed into the hallway in her nightclothes. Slowly she padded barefoot down the cold metal hallways, til she found the lab and saw the green slime on the floor. She saw the thing out of the corner of her eye but before she could get a shot off it flew at her. She was down & unconscious in seconds....
Her crewmates heard the commotion and found her a few minutes later, the strange creature attached to her face. But her chest was slowly rising and falling with breath. Perhaps they could save her after all...."
