I call this character the masked illustrator.

Why? Because I am rather shy and I don't like to show my drawings to people.

I will first explain why I drew/painted this character and this environment (digitally). I drew the pencils in this forest, because for me everything starts with the pencil and everything starts with nature. I wanted to make a comparison with nature and drawing.

I love drawing nature and therefore I used a forest as the location for this drawing. I also incorporated fireflies into the drawing but I will explain what they mean later on.

The character itself represents me as the assignment also was. I have already partly explained what certain elements mean. The character represents an adventurer, who is on the road to improve his skills. As a weapon he carries a pencil, this is his most powerful weapon. The fireflies that you can find in the front lead him to his best skills. These fireflies are my family, friends and the people who support me on this path. The character is also very colourful, because I love colours.
