Description I wanted a majestic landscape when i painted this picture.
The inspiration comes from this summer when i was traveling through Austria and saw all the high mountains.
There i started to sketch when i was sitting in the backseat of my parents car.
The towers reacts on the sun and when the lights comes on them they go shorter, so on nights this place works best.
When its dark these towers creates some sort of energy.
Its a very evil place and danger lurks in every corner.
The knight is on a quest to save a kidnapped child that has been brought to this city by a gang of vicious creatures.

So now i painted it in Photoshop CS

Enjoy!!!

Lovely composition Matthias-everything looks grand & majestic. I like the sun breaking through the clouds & the lone figure in the foreground.

The minute I see "lost city" or "ruins" in a title, I know I'm gonna like it.

Again you have captured spectaculary the feeling of large expanses. I really get a sense of a brave knight facing a very large challenge from this painting. The lighting really works on this to intensify the effect. Great work, as usual from you.
