The infrastructures of Japanese railway have been different from European countries and United States. Also mechanisms of German diesel locomotive have failed in Japan.

Itโs kind of strange, PCCs forged on for decades here. ย Shaker Heights used them on its grade-separated line from 1947 up to the early 1980s. ย Then again, since they were a rare type in Japan, you couldnโt just trade parts or vehicles with other cities or pull pieces from wrecked ones like cities in North America could.

Yes, this is not PCC exactly, rather a mimic of it. Then the mechanisms were very complex, then brought many major and minor troubles.
