Description
Parson's bands orchid, Eriochilus cucullatus. A minature native terrestrial orchid endemic to South Australian woodlands, flowering at Easter. These orchids are quite rare and the flower is only about 10 millimetres wide. The glistening points are grains of silica; it grows in ancient perched sand dunes.
