Description Hello you people Here I am again, this time I want to make one of these super awesome
in-between-chapters pictures, and thus I meet my old enemy and nemesis - the lineart.

So I thought I'd upload a sketch of the whole thing and ask you guys if any of you have some lineart-tips for me
I don't really know how to approach them, so any good lineart tutorials or tips would be extremely helpful!
Thanks ^w^

have a great day!

this will probably be a forever project again ^w^' I still want to add the things in the foreground, all the small stuff like the
pillow and more food and the little teddy-ryonin, I want to make this super detailled

slides in like ayyyyye
okay so--
i personally like thinner lines for comics/mangas becaue it can help with a more cleaner look?
also have the lines vary in size, like thinner lines for texture, folds, details and a thicker lines for u h m idontknowwhoops
also--
another thing, depends on if you're doing it in color or not--
if so in color, i vote a dark brown or maroon, maybe a very dark navy if its a very cool based drawing?

Nice slide there

I absolutely agree, I've been looking through references and they mostly use very thin lines (except for the old cartoons;
my favourite style for now is the one from "case study vanitas" :3 The hair is amazing there, and like HOW DOES HAIR WORK TELL ME YOUR SECRETS JUN XDXDXDXD
Although I generally want to make things look a bit more cartoonish to get an own style between anime
and cartoon)
And the size varying is what I worry about, I have no feeling for lineart that does that yet ^.^ It looks amazing if done right,
but can easily ruin a picture 0.0

I want to try make it traditionally manga-painted with textures, kind of like this:

And then try to colour the lineart ^w^ Kind of like using it twice, once for the cover of a manga, and once inside.
Which is why the lineart needs to look good or I'll fug up both ^.^'

Thank you SO very much for taking your time reading my description and leaving some help, it is really REALLY appreciated

okay!
so since you're coloring it black and white, i would suggest a black line art actually, and oh my god that is gorgeous--
i personally think it looks good, the line weight variation doesn't have to be much either, you can always do a thicker line outside of the character to have them sort of pop from the page?
and no problem! uvu
