Haha, I understand that all too well XD
I used to hate her for the exact same reason as you... but she grew on me, somehow O.O. I also used to hate the name 'Ethan', but now I use it interchangeably with 'Gold' as the name of the in-game character. I guess it's because he's in two game Generations. XD
I don't really hate any Pokemon characters anymore (well, at least in the games...) Maybe part of the reason why I don't dislike Lyra as much as I used to is because of the fanart *laughs*, and also because I am currently playing Pokemon Crystal and SoulSilver at the same time. =3
(But I don't agree with Pokemon Special's idea that Lyra is nonexistant and is just Kris with different clothes.)
All my grudges are for the anime. Replacing Misty season, after season, after season... Why not replace Ash? The B2W2 promo (ALL of the hnnng!) received so much positive response. Take note, Nintendo/Pokemon Company. XD
Also, Ash promised Pidgeot he'd return for it someday. How many seasons has it been?

Yea, but I just dislike her looks, partially because it reminds me of Mario, whom I also hate with a passion. It could also be because she looks a bit too girly and cute for my taste, as most of the other female protagonists are at least somewhat tomboyish. I only used Ethan because that's his name in that game, and it does clear up a bit of confusion since some would interchange his name with Silver's depending on which game was being mentioned.
I do agree with the anime though. I only really watch the movies, and I might end up stopping even that soon with the style change and the fact that I seem to like each new generation less and less than the previous one. I do agree 100% with replacing Ash, but what's worse is that they're saying that Ash is still 10 years old when that would be physically impossible.
I mean, according to the anime, he was 10 years, 10 months, and 10 days old when he first started his journey. This, added with the fact that it currently has about 737 episodes in Japan, and 15 movies, and most of them have at least one day passing, (like the Jirachi Wish Maker movie taking place over 7 days) then surely he would be somewhere between 12 and 14 at least, but no. -.- That makes it even worse since I believe the English dub used the excuse of Ash hitting puberty as the excuse for his voice sounding different after the voice actor change. And, he said he would at the end of the Orange Islands, if I remember correctly, but he either hasn't fulfilled that promise or it was fulfilled off-screen, very likely the former. And, it's been 13 seasons I believe.

Yeah, I know what you mean. She is too girly, and, well... incredibly generic XD
I remember reading in a magazine a while back, while Advanced Battle was airing, that introduced him as a twelve-year-old... but do the new seasons still say that he's ten?
Yesterday I re-watched Pokemon the First Movie and then 2000... I cried. Alot. The Pokemon movies were so inspirational, emotional, and just plain awesome. The music was also a major part of the films, and I don't think that the very newer Pokemon movies (at least the dubbed ones) have that kind of... what's the word? Spark? ("Oracion" was lovely, but that's about it. *has been fangirling over "The Power of One"*)

lol. Yea, I don't do too well with incredibly girly girls. XD
From what I heard, according to the first episode of Black and White, he's ten years old. >.> Not that I watch the anime anymore.
lol. I cry watching Mewtwo Returns, which apparently isn't on the Pokemon movie listing, but whatever. Well, I'm not sure. I mean, they all have their emotion, some more so than others. I love the ones I've watched, which is up to Darkrai, but some I barely remember, maybe because I didn't like them or maybe because I didn't watch them enough. *shrug* Either way, in general, it seems that the newer movies don't have the same impact as the older ones, though the newer ones are still better than the anime. With the style change that happened with Black and White though, I'm unsure if I'll ever try watching anything beyond Zoroark. :/
