I have the impression that there is an influence of Brom, no? Great colors.

This is quite possibly the most incredible use of such a primary colour scheme i've ever seen! Fantastic stuff... it's the kind of image that makes me all giddy and excitable just from looking at the intense red exploding against the violet blue of Medusa's skin. And the little touch of green in the snakes.. genius! I wouldn't ever have thought these colour could combine so saturated and still make a classy picture. Awesome, awesome work.

Even if the pic is REALLY awesome I would sometimes like to see some medusa art to be accurate with the descriptionβ¦

Sometimes the AD is completely helpless in the situation. R&D and Marketing can have a great influence on the process...generally not for the better.

Thank you, sir! I'm steering myself back to weird color choices; I feel like I went safe and dependable for a while, there. Dredging up the old stuff helps remind me you should never stop experimenting.

Compliments are powerful weapons, man. Check out Mark Zug's work! He sprinkles little microdots of compliments all over the place. It's one of the things that makes his work so yummy.

Sometimes that business about limitations spurring creativity is true. Color's such a huge world, I find myself going a *little* less crazy if I limit my palette. Thanks!

I agree with =dunwich7 about the pose. I also like that one snake that's longer than all the rest--usually depictions of Medusa tend to render the snakes more or less symmetrically or evenly around her head, but yours gives the snakes more animation.
I also agree with ~frozen-peas about the (solar?) stone design in the background.
