speaking of that cave. My brother and i just got a gameboy when i was 4 and he was 6. He had a used pokemon firered game. The game had already been finished. His entire party was made of legendaries, including mewtwo. He let me play and i started walking around in the grass. Now remember this, i had only seen a small clip of the unknown pokemon movie, of course i wanted to see the game too. I moved around a bit and screamed when i got into a fight with a pidgey. I instantly turned the gameboy off. A few minutes later my brother got tired of playing and reset the game. Now we realize how stupid we were.

Even dumber than the obstacles that were blindingly obvious 'gates' was the fact that obstacles you outright DESTROYED (smashed a boulder to gravel or cut down a tree) magically regenerated when you came back. So you'd end up Cut'ing the !@#$ same tree twenty times over the course of your travels.
