Wow! What an amazing feat you've accomplished! Congratulations to you Gabby! I'm thinking of doing this for myself, though I know I'm a day late into the year. Would you mind answering a couple of questions for me to help me get started with mine? The first one is, are each of the activities you've written under each day something that you chose to do yourself, such as the figure drawing, sketch from imagination, ect. Or is it the regiment of artwork for the challenge? The second one is, on those first few days of the year, what does it mean by "10 second and 30 second gestures"? Thanks so much in advance for your time!

I would love to know what kind of mechanical pencils you use, when I search on 3b or 4h in art stores online, it doesn't bring anything up. Do you just buy a regular mechanical pencil and then buy the leads you want?

thank you! you can see what pencils I use in the Pencil Drawings section here- [link] I'll copy and paste part of my description there-- Draft Line Mechanical Pencils: I love mechanical pencils. I find them to be much more precise then regular pencils and you don’t have to sharpen them! They come in different sizes…0.3mm being the smallest and 0.9 being the biggest. My 0.5mm mechanical pencil is actually a Staedtler instead of a Draft Line, but that brand is also nice.

Pentel Lead: This is the lead that goes in your mechanical pencils. The range goes from hard to soft (3H to 4B).

Oh, don't scan, who has time for that. Instagram, put contrast (for pencil WIPs) or a filter over it (if you're not yet satisfied with the look - 'creative' camera angles also work in this case if you're half finished) and you're done. I'd love to see that.
