Every time I go through my old sketchbooks, I always come across this one page, and it always stands out to me. Compared to everything else surrounded it, this piece is just good, and it still is good, in my opinion. Which I find surprising. I did it sometime in... 9th grade? So about six years ago. Watercolored it in. I really don't know what I was thinking, but it's simple and stylized and still adorable to me. So I decided to finally put it up while I still have time and the attention span.Related content

It IS adorable. The combination of simple, unshaded watercolors and Sharpie really works in this scene. It fits the boy losing his balloon; he'll probably forget about the balloon, but at this moment all his attention is on it, and that shows in the sharp contrast between the Sharpie and the colors... Even if you probably weren't thinking about all that when you painted it.
Really, it's lovely.

Really? As a print? I'd feel bad since I made it so long ago. I can frame the original for you. Granted, I was planning on painting you a new picture entirely, but if you want this one... XD
