Answer 3: ...Oh, you get the idea...!

Let's just say that ever since I've played the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games and experienced first-hand the thoughts, feelings, and freedom of the Pokemon of that world...I was never able to look at the mainstream Pokemon games the same way again.
(By the way, I am well aware that Poke Balls are actually quite spacious.)

The inspiration for this picture came from a question I asked myself: What if Samus Aran crash-landed in the Pokemon world and had to travel through the whole region on foot to escape? In this picture, she's technically walking through a random route in the Unova region, but it could just as easily be any generic route through any of the other regions. I decided to analyze how they painted backgrounds in the anime and apply it here.
