Bisharp of Team Nighty Knights Rigley the Elgyem of Team Paion Amy the Jigglypuff and Darren the Golurk of Team Pecha Jody the Bisharp (and Pawniard in flashback) Rallen the Beheeyem Random Mightyena and MienfooYou all get another page before Christmas.
But aw yeah, we finally reach the point in the story in which Rallen and Jody officially first meet...and it is DEFINITELY NOT love at first sight. Far from it. When I finally got to laying out this page, I found it strange that Rallen would give that noble speech about Jody in the narration, and the first thing that comes out of his mouth to her makes him sound like a total jerk...until I remembered that, hey, his ego was WAY bigger than Bisharp's ever was back then!It shouldn't be too hard to guess as to which town Rallen is referring to that Jody is walking in circles around. At least, I don't think it is. (And disregard the fact that the style for Pawniard Jody is slightly different in this flashback than in the earlier pages--all part of the process of my artistic improvement and all that.)

the more i read this story the more i think that Jody's life was prety harsh.

Thankfully, not as harsh as...well...Amy's, from before she lost her memories...or various other backstories I've noticed some people can give to their characters. Yes, Jody had a rather harsh life, but I'm trying to keep it more or less believable at the same time, too.

It's better when characters expearince hard times. they whouldent be very intresting if they only had a happy past whould they?

But of course! That's just the way stories work, and why I even bother telling Rallen and Jody's backstory in the first place.
Of course, I personally think that it *might* be possible to pull off a happy past if there's humor in sheer abundance, but even then, there would need to be some sort of conflict to make it interesting.

I could gess i could see that working.
But im not relly a fan of storys that are too happy.
I like my stroys whith a mix of happy and dark.

No wonder you like to watch my stories! (Though my stories for #Sixfold-League might be a little too happy in that regard, at least at first. There is room for dark moments to balance it out, for certain.)

I imagine that 13-year-old Jody was WAY more like Tori is now than you'd think, given they have rather similar backgrounds and/or personalities.

I'm surprised Jody has the energy to make such a rash attack after everything that she's just endured.

You'd be surprised how much energy one could muster to try to defend themselves when "cornered" like that.

I'm reminded of the way Lucario works in SSBB...as it gets more and more damaged, its attacks get stronger.

If Bisharps actually worked like that, they'd be WAY more dangerous than they already are.

Of course, they might also place a higher priority on healing themselves in a situation like that. It just depends on the way you think.
You could say, for instance, that "ze healing is not as rewarding as ze hurting," (A TF2 Medic quote [which I'm only using because it makes sense here]) which would mean you care more about lowering the opponent's health than healing yourself, or you could say the opposite.
Each individual will have to think about that when they're in bad condition. "Do I run and heal up, or do I knock the enemy out first?"

True, but Rallen wasn't exactly cornering her.
Then again, in the shape she was in, she'd be plenty paranoid to think he was.

And the fact that he's a life form she never saw before only makes her even more paranoid.
Plus, she's STARVING by now, and, well, as a carnivore, she's going to get food any way she can.
