Wow, what an amazing sunset this afternoon. I was down at Mooloolaba facing the hundreds of holidaying tourists driving in their hired teragos and who cant drive around every 15m there is a pedestrian crossing mooloolaba. So I found my own space on the rocks, but was soon inundated by people around. Two families fishing on the rocks behind me, rather noisily, two teenagers smitten with each others lips and people walking in and around the rocks. But as this sunset appeared, everyone stopped talking and stood back in awe...how quiet and beautiful it was!Mooloolaba Beach (Alex Heads side of the Surf Club)

The dark, blood red of the sky is the first thing to grab your attention, following by the striking yet brilliant dark contrast of the buildings. The fragments of blue sky inside the red pushes the viewers attention to the outer edges of the image, bringing their eyes towards the edges and bottom where the natural outline of the ocean is reflecting the sunlight.
Keeping it as natural as possible is a brilliant technique, however, I feel that the left-most building could have done with a slight darkening.
Otherwise, brilliant picture. ^_^.

Thanks Malcolm. Oh what a shame! Thats the best sunset we've had in months up here, and now its back to boring no cloud sky sunsets again
