Description

This was an idea I've been holding off for a while, mostly due to better ideas getting in the way. I wanted to give Tafotia its second regional variant of the starter lineup much like Zenoxia. So, I decided to do the Galar starters as a means of a side-grade fix from their actual evos.

The lore of these regional variants is that they're the descendants of their Galar counterparts, with their designs being more tough, feral, and with an Achilles Heel of a type combo to contrast to their domesticated, pure typed counterparts bred for the Gym battle life and competitive scene. Think of these designs as my what ifs on what I thought the Galar starters were going to evolve into at one point before SwSh's pre-release leaks.

Tafotian Sobble is the more hardened descendant with its depressing mood being selectively bred into the usual child-like crying from the Galarian form, it even has teardrop-shaped marking like prisoners who committed bad crimes or acts.

Ability: (1) Stony Grit - Powers up Rock-type moves when the Pokémon's HP is low, much like Overgrow or Blaze.
(H) Solid Rock

-Level up Tafotian Sobble to Level 16, and it'll evolve into Tafotian Drizzile-

Tafotian Drizzile starts to show actual evolution, as the shoreside Sobble follows to a similar niche to seals as a marine reptile. Not only does it resemble your typical marine reptile, but it also passes down the idea from the Kurusu Line from beta Gold and Silver. - stand ins for Totodile with phyisical traits similar to Lapras.

Ability: (1) Stony Grit - Powers up Rock-type moves when the Pokémon's HP is low, much like Overgrow or Blaze.
(H) Solid Rock
Gender Ratio: 87.5%M/12.5%F
Egg Group: Water 1; Field

-Level up Tafotian Drizzile to Level 35, and it'll then evolve into Leviaking-

Leviaking (a mixture of Leviathan and King) is a fully tanky and heavily-armored plesiosaur mixed with early 2000's Emo culture, The Tafotian line does outdate Merigo's Sobble Line as it basically reunlocked it's old typing to some degree while still being an Intelleon. Leviaking are a sign of a true Pokemon Master, as taming these bad boys in the wild is a chore for sure.

This line does have connections with my Dolphish Line as they are somehow related due partly to their basis and role as an aquatic apex predator, maybe there was a Galarian Dolphish at one point that lived in the prehistoric oceans?
