A couple of side characters within the same universe as Nahala. If it ever gets to book 2 or 3, they'll show up. For now, they may show up in their own quest on tgchan. Or maybe not.

Kitty's name isn't actually Kitty. An amortal, she does a lot of wandering through civilizations and worlds that have never seen a Catfolk. She picked up the nickname some decades ago, and has carried it with her ever since. Catfolk are not a true species, but rather the result of Acruen experimentation. Some claim these experiments are commissioned by someone, possibly a digen. Kitty's digen - the person that made her amortal - is Reklaw.

Jack "Burns" Silver is an ex-special ops. When his country was in its last days of being toppled, he happened upon another digen, Caiphas, who made him an amortal out of his own volition.

Both have teamed up, in the sense that they travel together, with nothing better to do with their lives now that they cannot die in the conventional sense.
